Salesforce Administrator Program

This program covers the breadth of applications, features and functions available to end-users and the configuration and management options available to a Salesforce administrator across the Salesforce Sales and Service Clouds. It also covers the foundation of designing, building, and deploying custom applications using the Lightning Platform’s declarative customization capabilities.

These topics include but are not limited to: basic Salesforce administration, the Force.com architecture, configuration, customization and data management. There is in depth coverage of system security topics such as:

  • Users
  • Licenses
  • Profiles
  • Field Level Security
  • Permission Sets, Record Security
  • Organization Wide Defaults
  • Role Hierarchy & Roles
  • Sharing Rules

The object model related to sales force automation, marketing automation and service is thoroughly covered as well with sections on:

• Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from from 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm eastern.
• Once every month, class will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm eastern time.
• Classes will not be held on Federal Holidays.
• The program will run for approximately 49 weeks due to Federal Holidays.

Salesforce Developer Program

Students in this program will learn how to build complex applications using a variety of tools available to Salesforce developers. The program will begin with declarative development in Salesforce, followed by programmatic development using Apex, Visualforce and Salesforce API's for integration. Students will also learn how to develop sophisticated web applications using Javascript, node.js, and the Lightning Web Component framework.

The topics covered will include: The fundamentals of declarative development on the Force.com Platform including:

  • Custom and Standard Objects
  • Fields
  • Security Workflow
  • Approval Processes
  • Validation Rules
  • Process Builder and Flow

Working with common Force.com development tools, including but not limited to:

  • VS Code
  • Developer’s workbench
  • Developer console

  • Fundamentals of object oriented programming

Apex fundamentals including but not limited to:

  • Developing Apex triggers
  • Developing Visualforce custom controllers and controller extensions using Apex

  • Developing Test Methods

Web development skills including but not limited to: HTML, XML, CSS and JavaScript. Utilizing these technologies on the client side and the server side using node.js. Visualforce development and Lightning Web Component development. Development and consumption of REST API's.
